The Virginia Distillery Co. VDC Port Cask Reserve is a 700 ML American Single Malt whisky crafted from 100% malted barley. It is first aged in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a combination of tawny port casks from Portuguese bodegas and Virginia port-style wine casks. This whisky offers a unique flavor profile, featuring notes of honeycomb, walnuts, gingerbread on the nose, and bright lemon, red berries, soft smoke, and cocoa on the palate. It is bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV) and has received accolades, including a Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
