In October, 2021, ONE ROQ accepted invitation to pour at a global, luxury event celebrating Rolls Royce Motors 100 Year Old Relationship with the Royal Family, and Queen of England 95th Birthday. Recognitions from leaders of industry have followed to pay appreciation for ONE ROQ’s participation, innovation and provisions.
For those familial with the event, or just catching up, here is the never before shared background on the story.
As many Members are aware, ONE ROQ’s destination events have been curtailed from hospitality industry closures, vaccination policies, and travel restrictions of the last two years.
As a company, we made a general, and temporary decision in 2020 to pause physical events in light of safety and PR risks. However, last year, we received an email from an address that, in honest, we initially didn’t believe. It was addressed to our Founder, Garrett Green and Company, “on behalf of the Royal Correspondent of the Queen of England, Robert Jobson.”
The note went on to describe that ONE ROQ had been recommended to partake in a global event bringing together top legacy and emerging brands in their respective categories from around the globe. Names like Rolls Royce, Bvlgari, Phillip Patek and countless others. The event was being organized by the Royal Family’s public communication arm, St James House, in celebration of the Royal Family’s 100 year old relationship with Rolls Royce and her majesty’s coming 95th Birthday. ONE ROQ had been suggested by one or more members of the International Club for Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts (RREC), of whom are also Members of the ONE ROQ Club (ORVC), hailing from London.
Once this came into focus and we realized it was true, we had to make a decision whether or not to participate during the height of UK Covid waves. Ordinarily, management always sees to being present to oversee our event production standards and strategies, but in this case, it was ill advised we travel across the pond. So, in lieu, we called on industry associates to provide trained representation on our behalf while we managed remotely from our home offices.
The event took place at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on October 8th, 2021 where guests of over 400, including esteemed members of the London Press Club, enjoyed one of our famous gathering punch recipes: ONE ROQ | Ruby Grapefruit Juice | St Germaine | Gingerale | and fresh slices of Grapefruit and/or lemon.
While guests sipped, they also enjoyed professional live presentation of our product, and the features and benefits of ONE ROQ Membership visa vi ONEROQClub.com
The early evening of product education naturally transformed into an exclusive ball room dance party as the ONE ROQ began to hit. As our correspondents relayed behind the scenes video of laughing and dancing guests, this is when we knew our international mission had been completed to task.
Here were some of the quotes garnered from distinguished leaders present at the event, of which we are grateful.
“To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 95th birthday, the International Club for Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts (RREC) commissioned publisher St James’s House to produce a luxury coffee-table book titled Strive for Perfection: The Royal Edition. In addition to featuring some of the world’s finest motor cars and discussing the work of the Club, the book provides members with a luxury lifestyle guide that showcases carefully selected partner brands. As a leading American luxury spirit, ONE ROQ was a perfect fit for inclusion in this publication, and we, the RREC, would like to thank ONE ROQ for their support of this project and for the compelling story that they brought to this publication. Copies of the book are distributed to Club members and made available to a wider audience of Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealerships around the world.”
