Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey was originally conceived by tavern keeper Augustus Bulleit in Kentucky in the 1830s. Experimenting with many recipes before settling on the perfect one, Augustus then mysteriously disappeared. The Bulleit Bourbon business was brought back to life in the 1980s by Augustus’s great-great grandson Tom Bulleit, who revived the old family recipe. Bulleit Bourbon is a small-batch bourbon known for its smoky, smooth flavor, with notes of vanilla, caramel and honey. Spicy and complex, Bulleit Bourbon has a uniquely high rye content. Enjoy Bulleit Bourbon neat, combined with tonic and garnished with a lemon wedge, or mixed in a mint julep cocktail.
