During these times I know all of us just want to hop on the next flight out of here. I can’t promise you’ll be sightseeing in Spain anytime soon, but I can offer you a recipe that will transport your dining room table to a beachfront restaurant in the Mediterranean. When I was asked to come up with a recipe for ONE ROQ, I knew it had to be something special to share with the Members. So that got me thinking, “What is food without the perfect drink to go along with it?” In fact, let me rephrase that by asking, “What is food without the perfect vodka drink to go with it?” The answer to that is nothing. I’m going to show you how I prepare my favorite tapas style dish alongside a ONE ROQ Vodka Cocktail to match. My name is Sydney Moore and I am the food connoisseur behind American-ish.com and Sydney Moore Cooks on Instagram. I aim to create food that is attainable to the everyday at home chef while drawing inspiration from cultures all over the world. Before the pandemic rocked my world, I was living in Florida, working with ONE ROQ. Events without masks were alive and well and I could hug whoever I wanted. Fast forward, and I made the decision to move back home to Buffalo, New York and at the peak of quarantine I found myself cooking every day. I am fortunate enough to have traveled all over the world pre-pandemic, and you will find that my recipes come from small city corners that boast some incredible food. I hope we can all share in a cocktail together soon, but until then, Buen Provecho.
